What is surgical transplant ?

In order to perform the Surgical transplant process, a number of surgical procedures must be performed, which are, of course, performed by a dentist who has specialized in the field.

Surgical extraction:

Many times you need to remove the previous tooth where you want to place the new implant, there are situations where there is no longer a tooth.

Jaw bone examination:

After the tooth is extracted in the surgical transplant process, a test is performed to check the condition of the jawbone in the area where the tooth is to be implanted.

The jawbone in the area of the implant should be thick enough according to the types of implant, not soft and should be at the required height.

If the jawbone does not have one or more of these criteria, it is necessary to perform a surgical bone graft.

Surgical bone grafting:

At the end of the surgical transplant process in some cases where, as noted earlier, there is a defect in the jaw bone in the transplanted area, surgical bone resection is performed.

While chewing, the jaw creates strong pressure and the bone must be strong enough to withstand the pressure forces caused by the chewing to protect the dental implant after it has been implanted.

In the past, replacement bone from another area of the body was used, but today bone substitutes are also used.

Types of bone substitutes are: bone substitutes from human corpses, substitutes from a cow source.

Once the area where the dental implant has been implanted has been repaired, the normal process is continued and another small operation is performed, during which the implant is exposed and then the new tooth is placed.

In conclusion, it can be understood that the Surgical transplant process includes a number of surgical procedures that are necessary to complete it.
